National Accounts – (GDP)

GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is a measure of the economic production in a country. GDP and related economic statistics (e.g. GNI, GNDI) are collectively termed the National Accounts and are guided by the international standard System of National Accounts (SNA2008).

GDP estimates for the FSM are compiled for both Industry and Institutional sector and the production and income approach with assistance from the US Graduate School.  SNA 2008 standards have been followed as closely as possible.  National Account estimates are always subject to revision with data and methodology improvements.
